Hi, I’m Eric Yen.
My therapeutic approach is deeply interwoven with my diverse professional experience, all connected by a single, steady mission: to cultivate empathy and help people navigate their way out of life's hardest moments
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, and my clinical practice is uniquely shaped by the professional chapters that led me here. With a BA in Studio Art, I spent years teaching creative youth, witnessing firsthand how art can express things that words simply cannot. Later, working in insurance claims during natural disasters and other unexpected turns, I served on the front lines for people experiencing acute life crises. That experience taught me how to be a steady, calm, and deeply compassionate anchor when life feels too overwhelming.
Today, I bring all of these elements into the therapy room, blending the creativity of an artist with the steady grounding of a crisis responder and my specialized clinical training. To support your unique healing process, I tailor my approach using psychodynamic therapy to explore deeper patterns, CBT and DBT for practical coping and emotional regulation skills, and expressive arts when words aren't enough. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or a major life transition, I am here to help you untangle your thoughts and rebuild a life that feels genuinely yours.
