Join Us: Expressive Arts for Emotional Growth (Ages 7–9)

6-Week Therapeutic Art Group | Tuesdays, 4:00–5:00 PM | November 4 – December 16

This creative, arts-based therapy group helps children ages 7–9 explore emotions, build coping skills, and connect with peers in a supportive environment. Through art and play, kids learn to identify and express their feelings, manage big emotions, and create their own “emotional toolbox” of calming strategies.

Led by Janine Himes, AMFT #144638, under the supervision of Atiya Malik, LMFT #96154, this group offers a fun, engaging way for kids to grow emotionally and socially while developing lifelong skills for self-regulation and resilience.

Location: 18226 Ventura Blvd Ste 202, Tarzana, CA 91325

Mind Your Mind podcast cover, focusing on youth mental health topics

THRIVE x Mind Your Mind

We partner with CORE’s THRIVE team to address mental health concerns among young adults and their parents/guardians within Los Angeles county.

THRIVE’s approach is guided by 13 youth leaders ages 14-24 who make up the program’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB). With their insight, THRIVE engages young adults throughout Los Angeles County through public outreach, educational sessions, and peer-to-peer workshops. Here, they’ll gain access to critical resources, mental health professionals, and learn healthy communication skills to share their knowledge with their friends and families.

The team recently introduced the Mind Your Mind, a campaign that gives our members a platform to talk about the mental health topics that mean the most to them, from balancing school and social life, to eating disorder awareness and neurodiversity.
